Hmm

Nothing too original here...nice music and atmosphere though. Also you cannot call a game suitable for all audiences and use the s word in it. is it really even necessary in a game about bees getting nectar??

Cool

Interesting...I didn't find much to do but I suppose I didn't explore every arrow possible. Still, I didn't feel a strong urge to. But dammit that gun made me jump in my seat! I guess that was the intended affect though.

Better done than i though possible

This idea really isnt a new one...but its so well done in this case that i think its very successful. i loved the new characters and they made me replay a level over and over. a few minor complaints though (and i assume you intended this one) but the newer characters arent necessarily better. i found the unhappy face to be the best for a while. also, the fact that this doesnt save progress is a huge bummer. i dont really want to have to work all the way back up the chain now that i closed briefly to write a review.

Nice work!

As others have said, this game is obviously quite odd and creepy but I'm always happy to experience a game that makes me think in new ways, or at least feel differently. I kept expecting some sort of a storyline, and although I understand it's meant to feel disjointed I couldn't help but want some sort of strand holding it all together. And the ending was quite abrupt. I enjoyed the journey there, though, in any case.

I see that some people have been having difficulty, so I'll post a little walkthrough here (even though most things just need to be clicked on and can be located easily by hitting tab):

*Spoilers*

1. Click in the bottom right of the screen and wait for the wall to scroll.
2. Click the vines on the left of the screen and then wait for the sun to fall.
3. Click on the sun, then its various protrusions and get the first code (316)
4. Hold your mouse over the bottom left button while the story plays.
5. Listen for the morse code blips and beeps and match them with the correct numbers (397)
6. Wait for the room to come into full view.
7. Click the floor tile on the bottom left and wait for the hands to emerge and give you the password (121)
8. Wait while the Tzara quote is read and while the creepy text does its thing.
9. For the next part, it helps to know that "erado" means "to erase" in Latin. Click and hold your mouse to "erase" the screen and reveal some symbols. When you type "CODE" into the box (in capitals) the symbols will match, so hit enter and you can proceed.
10. Now you must click on the eyes of the various statues. I found it tricky to locate them exactly, so hitting tab to highlight them on the screen is very useful here. Click on each pair of eyes twice to proceed.
11. The next is just a question to make sure you're paying attention. The nickname of the maker of this game is magic585, so input "585" to go to the next level.
12. Click around on the bricks in the upper left corner of the screen until things black out.
13. Now in the bottom left corner of the screen there is a chute-looking thing near the window. If you click it, a hand will emerge and grab a skull, finishing the level.
14. Congratulations! That's it...so far as I can tell at least.

So I hope that some people will find this review useful and use it to ensure that they can experience this entire game which is unquestionably well made and effective regardless of any minor complaints that I have. Thanks a lot!

Heh nice work

At first I was like...alright stupid game you can just push past the squares. but then i realized how they ganged up on you and the game actually ended up getting difficult quickly. the curve was appropriate though. On my first try I got 2900 or something and it said I beat your highscore...could this be true?

kario responds:

Sadly that's true - my high score's only around 2400 :|

Worth playing

I actually thought that this was a pretty well made game. The combat was fun and I liked the different attacks. Not that I tried any other characters, but the spy seems clearly superior to me (although I'm not sure what the lethality bonus is) simply because of her extra move as the other stats can be increased and shield easily supplied through monks anyway. Also, I noticed a rather large bug which was this: if you don't stop to heal, lose, and restart the battle, everyone is at full health again, making healing useless. I would have maybe liked to see units with multiple spells (maybe a heal on the monks?), but overall nice work.

Thunder-Hawk responds:

Yes, the spy is probably slightly stronger than others. She has lower skills, but does 50% additional damage.
When you restart the battle, you lose one day!

Eh...

Unoriginal idea and not really all that well animated. Controls were waaay too sensitive in my opinion. I think that this could be a fun game, but it's just not there for me.

Nice work

I've enjoyed this whole series so far, but this is clearly the best of all of them. Good attacks and bombs, and I love the familiar customization. As others have said, the attack ones should turn around with you, but otherwise they were great. My only complaint is that maybe the game was a little too easy? Even with only 2 defense familiars, I was taking almost no damage from attacks. An unlockable difficulty would have been cool, maybe with a surprise ending? I think that this would have been a good addition, especially because the story is cut short, but I guess all will be revealed in the future...

In any case, thanks for the great game!

Very nice

Haha this is definitely front page stuff. I found it very funny and the gameplay was good. Contrary to what some have said, i liked that I had to figure out the function of the boots and really have no complaints against the graphics. Only complaints would be I could have used more powerups and the boss fight was rather weak. If these things are fixed in the sequel you'll have a great game for sure (not to say that this one isn't too). Really nice work; I have high hopes!

Help for all

Not a bad game at all...except some of my health containers got stuck behind trees. A nice little refreshing game.

Really, though, I just wanted to help everyone out with the blue door. I couldn't find it. Finally, I did in the top of the forest screen to the right of the town and the left of the first boss. The others aren't hard to locate. Hope this helps!
