Good Wiggi Entry!

This was a nice addition to the Wiggi games contest. I liked the idea of the game and the message it sent out. My only complaints would be that the shots were a tad hard to see on the light background and the attachments MAYBE should die in 2 shots or at least give 300 points, probably the former if this game is to be aimed at younger kids. You're the artist here though so I trust you've thought this over and certainly have more experience than I do. Also, the powerups vanished when you shot them? That probably should be in the instructions. Still though, good job and I hope your entry succeeds.

Good game? Maybe. Front page worthy? No.

While this was an OK game with a good concept, I do not think that it was executed well at all. Allow me to tell my story...

I started out with campaign mode, only to find a poorly instructed, very buggy system which only allowed me to buy a unit a quarter of the time that I actually hit the button which meant I had to mash the click button for a few minutes to actually order the required troops. I thought trekking across the map with no real incentive for fighting, not even money, was tiresome, and only fighting was minorly enjoyable. After beating campaign mode (and having to try that treasure quest 3 times) I decided against my better judgment to try survival mode. At first, I went with the Kingdom as I was most familiar with them and air strike seemed a necessary spell. However, the opposing team continued to wipe out my smaller infantry with critters and the like and I could find no reason not to always attack with my colossus. this led me to the strategy of picking the ape people who start with a colossus bonus and after every level use all points on upgrading him further. even without using any troops, they were decimated within a few rounds. eventually, I was left with just me and my prime ape against 111 troops, including an opposing colossus. surely I stood no chance. However, my colossus easily crushed the opposing one and took no damage from the smaller troops over the next 100 rounds to follow which is what it took to kill the rest of the little buggers. survival could have been a nice touch if there had been any strategy to it. my biggest problem with the mode was that i couldnt order extra troops. that really eliminated any chance that i had at making a real choice in the game. also, every round pits you against the same people over and over. fascinating! unfortunately, as i went with the superior apes i was stuck with the war drums spell, which i leveled after my colossus was maxed. no matter how much i demoralized the troops or drained my opponents leadership points, they casted and attacked like nothing had happened. which brings me again to the point that there is no strategy. im sure that this aspect is perhaps a little better in the ful version with the ability to heal your troops and the like but I have no, absolutely none at all, incentive to purchase it.

Although I obviously have many gripes with this game, it did have SOME redeeming qualities. The graphics were nice; I liked the bloodshed and troops flying all over the place. Everything looked good. The game also had its moments: the colossus on colossus battles were really nice and the music was a good touch. Speaking of music, the start up tunes were very odd. they sounded like something i would here from weebls-stuff or something. i guess that most of the things that i would like to see fixed probably are in the full version, but as i have probably hinted at and others have stated it simply costs too much. I would be surprised who would buy it outside of any personal relationships.

I had a lot to say about this game, but basically everything I wanted to say is summed up in my subject. Maybe its worth a little of your time but not worth loving or god forbid buying.

Much better

I played this game last night with no bars and the whole thing was sloppy and pretty bad, but I played again today and I'm glad I did. Just when I thought things were getting too repetitive and boring, I got the soul orb. VERY cool concept. I liked the whole thing. As others have said, a save feature really would have been appreciated. I got to level 15 and was eagerly awaiting a new orb but I died after all of my hard work =(. If anyone is reading this and could give a description of the other orb bonuses that would be cool, even if it is a spoiler.

Good escape game

I actually sort of liked this game. I just figured it out as well and I'm going to try and write my first walkthrough. Here goes:

1. Click the pillow to get the change.
2. Click on the left of the screen to enter the hallway.
3. Go right one screen to the living room and take the right antenna off of the tv
4. Go right again into the kitchen. Take the spoon from under the butcher's knife on the counter and check the number on the fridge. Write it down; you'll need it for later.
5. Go left two screens back into the hallway.
6. Go in the right door to the bathroom. Pick up the toothbrush and the zit cream. Also, click on the bathtub and use the antenna in the hole to get a key.
7. Reenter the hallway, and go left to screens out to the shed. Combine the toothbrush and the zit cream, and use your new item to clean the lock. Then use the key on the lock.
8. Take the axe and the glove from the shed.
9. Leave the shed and go right one screen to the foyer. Use the axe to break down the door.
10. Grab the key from the coat pocket and the coat hanger and return to the shed.
11. Use the coat hanger on the crack at the top of the window to pick open the mower. Then use the key from the closet to start it up.
12. Ignore the hole for now and go right two screens back to the hallway. Go into the door on the left, click on the fuse box, put on the glove, and use the spoon to connect the wires (don't try this at home kids)
13. Return to the hallway and go right into the living room, pick up the phone, and dial the number from before (312-9425).
14. Go left all the way until you return to the hole in the wall.
15. Go in the hole, click the train door.
16. Congratulations, you're free!

Sadly, the ending was a little weak, but still there was a lot of thought in this game and i enjoyed it!

Not a bad entry

Well having the same questions over and over seemed a little pointless and got old after a while. Also, that cursor looks suspiciously like a middle finger. am i the only one who thinks that?

Nice work

I have to agree that this isn't really a rock out game but good nonetheless. i would LOVE to see more players and locations...I would definitely come back and play some more!

Errr...

I think this game would have been better off as a movie perhaps. I didn't blam it because I could tell there was a lot of work in it and the story was cool. However, game play was absolutely abysmal. Do you really expect me to run back and forth for 20 minutes killing the same zombies against the same scenery till i reach the end? there is simply no enjoyment there. also what is with the difficulty? in the beginning of a level there is no way to kill a pack of oncoming zombies with no retreat room. i played the second level many times but theres just nothing I could do to get past the zombies; if i go back i hit an invisible wall and forward brings me through them and to half health. this needs variety and some sort of difficulty control perhaps. from what ive seen, you have the potential to do that but this game is really lacking. Try a little harder and I think that you can succeed.

Very addictive

This was a fun and well thought out RPG. There was a lot to do and even though it was difficult at times I still liked it very much. Dont let the previous reviewer bother you...just some nub who doesnt know how to play/rate a game >.<

Very cool guitar hero game

This was a really nice take on guitar hero. the character stories werent very developed but they were a nice touch and it was good to have them. the ability to select your own song at each stage was a little strange...it might have been nice to have a set song at each time because i could just do the same one repeatedly and not experience everything. it was nice to have some choice though. also a big grats on you rock out win! you deserve it.

I'm glad you liked it! Thank you for the kind words! Keep an eye on my user page, I have a new game in the works. More news soon. :-)

niiiiice music

Heck I would have played this game just to listen to sandstorm but maybe thats just me =). I think the game was well done, just rather basic. It was hard to get the potatoes after a while with all the apples, but it was fine because it was a pretty good way of gradually increasing difficulty. I'm a big fan of power-ups, and maybe some could have been nice. Like something that destroys apples in a radius around it or temporary invincibility. Not bad though!

Thanks for advice!
